USE OF TENTS IN STORM CONDITIONS
As a warning setting up tents in anything above Beaufort 7 runs the risk of damaging a tent i.e. bent/snapped poles. There are ways to minimize but not remove this through double poling, pitching in sheltered spots and building snow walls. But please do not expect the tent to be indestructible; in 100mph winds many houses would not be still standing.
